You will hike with a non-judgmental, fun group of like-minded women. You don't need to be an experienced hiker but you have to be in good enough shape to walk for 5 hours in pretty rough terrain, carrying your small backpack.

Escape trips are always a mix of deep and light conversations, a feel good experience and the opportunity to meet other wonderful women while exercising in Nature

What we will do:This hike features: amazing views, a gorgeous forest, wooden footbridge, marsh, huge rock formations, streams (if you are not afraid of the cold can definitely dip your feet in the clear water!), beaver lodges....

The hike immediately starts on a woods road and soon crosses a wooden footbridge over a stream. We will head deeper into the woods on a footpath. Soon, we will pass massive cliffs. A short distance beyond, the trail begins to descend towards a wide marsh. It comes out on a rock outcrop overlooking the marsh (we will see cute beaver lodges in the marsh)! We will take the time to admire the marsh and we will continue on the footpath, reaching the crest of a ridge, until we arrive at our picnic spot: a panoramic viewpoint from a rock outcrop. Mombasha Lake may be seen on the left, and the hills of Sterling Forest and Harriman State Park are visible in the distance.

We will have our picnic at the top. The second part of our day is mostly going down, with several steep sections. We will see a couple more gorgeous viewpoints then we will pass a gentle stream. We will reach the parking lot around 5PM and we will go back to NYC, rejuvenated by fresh air, laughter and new friendships.

This Escape is a 7-person adventure (6 clients and 1 female guide).
